SETTING AND RULES

Setting

The year is 1928. The President is Calvin Coolidge. Prohibition is still going strong.

The town is West End, located ambiguously on the East Coast New England shoreline. It's a buzzing metropolis, with a Mayor that can never be reached for statement. Gangs have sank their grip into the city, and the new Federal building has recruited police to help them in their pursuit.

There are good neighborhoods, bad neighborhoods, rich neighborhoods, and poor neighborhoods. Some people were born here, and some came from overseas.

Rules

All Characters must be human in this universe. If you're AUing an alien, please do so respectfully. When observing historical accuracy, please do this respectfully, too. All characters have been born into this world; they weren't magically transported, and they're not bound to that particular city. They're welcome to leave and travel- it's just preferable if this is the starting point.

Be nice to each other. As in don't mod someone's characters or establishments without their permission, don't
bully people, and do discuss things.

Currently not accepting straight OCs because I'm not sure how to handle it. This may change in the future.

Also respect in character consequences for in character actions; for example, if your character goes around murdering or robbing people for a while, clues will be left behind and cops will eventually catch them. If you bother someone's mob family, they may have someone hurt you.

NPCs, of course are fair game but also may be noticed.

This is a musebox, so there won't be activity checks. For now, if there are doubles of characters I only ask that their names/altered backstories be different. But as it is an AU, AUs of the same characters are allowed.

There's not a network. Characters can post in action spam or prose.
